Building Vaccine Confidence through askNivi
We’re thrilled to announce that Nivi has been honored as a recipient of the prestigious VaxSocial Initiative grant funded by Global Impact, on behalf of the Advancing Health Online Initiative (AHO) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. This grant awards $12 million to organizations committed to using social media to boost vaccine confidence and drive routine immunization and HPV vaccine uptake.
Vaccine hesitancy continues to be a significant challenge worldwide. Socio-cultural beliefs, limited access to reliable health information, and widespread myths about the safety and efficacy of vaccines contribute to low uptake rates. These challenges are compounded in regions with limited healthcare infrastructure, making public health campaigns less effective. Tackling this issue requires more than just medical intervention; it demands a comprehensive approach to education and community engagement.
With the VaxSocial Initiative grant, Nivi will explore how social media, combined with behavioral science, can effectively encourage positive health decisions concerning vaccination. In partnership with Save the Children in Nigeria, we will focus on innovative, community-driven approaches and leverage digital platforms to educate and empower people about the importance of routine immunizations.

This grant signifies a remarkable opportunity for Nivi to further our impact on global health by enhancing the effectiveness of vaccine programs at scale. We are excited to work alongside our fellow grantees and contribute to a body of evidence by generating insights that will inform future health interventions. This initiative will accelerate our mission to protect the next generation, reach those still underserved by current health systems, and bring us one step closer to a world where everyone has the knowledge and confidence to make positive health choices.

Serving the underserved: how e-SAATHI
uses askNivi to reach Assam's remote river islands and support pregnant women
Pregnancy is a critical period during which women require regular check-ups, support, and education to ensure the health and well-being of both themselves and their babies. Access to timely and comprehensive maternal care plays a crucial role in improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
Assam's maternal health landscape is undergoing a significant transformation with the introduction of Nivi's digital health solution, askNivi, into the state’s 150+ public healthcare facilities across Dibrugarh, Kamrup, and Jorhat districts. This expansion marks a major milestone in the e-SAATHI initiative’s efforts to improve maternal health outcomes in the state of Assam.
As part of this expansion into Assam's Public Health facilities, askNivi's Maternal Health journey was launched with Boat Clinics in Assam to reach the vast networks of islands along the winding course of Brahmaputra. The Boat Clinics in Assam organize more than 3000 camps annually, reaching more than 260,000 people across these islands. A pilot has been launched in the boat clinic in Chhaygaon block in Kamrup Rural and is expected to reach and serve a population of 16000+ in the district covering 341 villages in the Char (island) areas. As this public-private partnership grows, the askNivi Maternal Health Journey will be made accessible to the more than 2000 villages located in remote islands along the 891km course of the Brahmaputra river.
